Website Waterman Broadcasting
A highly motivated producer who will manage the special projects unit at Waterman Broadcasting. The person in this role must have an emphasis on creating and managing quality, unique elements which make our newscasts stand out in the market.
Must be a positive contributor who can manage quickly-changing, high-profile story elements, including shoot dates, fact-checking and creative oversight. Must be tuned in to what’s happening in the community and find ways to take those stories to a higher level.
Manage several different types of storytelling, from investigative to heartwarming. Must be actively involved in the marketing of all special project stories, from conception to delivery.
Critical thinker who can see beyond the headline to the bigger issues facing our community. Is expected to have good journalism competencies and adhere to the ethics and expectations of our newsroom and Waterman Broadcasting.
The Producer reports to the News Director.
College degree, three years of producing experience, expert knowledge of television newscasts, sourcing, and reporting.
